Ten Christmas pages to decorate and then color, with nothing to solve: draw ornaments and lights on a bare tree, design a stocking and a Christmas sweater, draw patterns on four ornaments, draw wrapping paper on four presents, frost six cookie shapes (a star, a tree, a heart, a circle, a bell and a candy cane), add candy and icing to a gingerbread house, draw holly, berries and a bow on a wreath, design a new outfit for an elf, and write or draw your wishes on Santa’s list. Each picture is drawn big with thick lines in a frame, and Santa, an elf or a reindeer peeks into every page. Print the pages you want; they are in black and white.
Use the pages for a class party, indoor recess or early finishers before winter break. Show a few patterns first (stripes, dots, zigzags, stars), then let children plan their own. The finished sweaters, stockings and elves make a cheerful bulletin board.
Decorate a page side by side with your child and compare designs. Cut out the finished ornaments or stockings to hang up.
Christmas drawing and coloring pages with plain things to decorate: a bare tree, a stocking, a sweater, ornaments, presents, cookies, a gingerbread house, a wreath, an elf’s outfit and Santa’s list. Children draw their own patterns, candy, decorations and wishes, then color them in.
