Thirty picture bingo cards, one to a page, each with sixteen animals and no two cards alike: a bear, a butterfly, an elephant, a giraffe, a lion, an owl, a penguin, a frog, a whale and more. The teacher names an animal and children mark its picture, so no reading is needed. After the cards come calling cards with each animal's picture and name, to cut apart and draw one at a time, and a caller's checklist.
A good first bingo game before Number Bingo: children learn to listen, find and mark. Draw a calling card, say the animal and hold up its picture for the youngest players; later, say it without showing it. To call from the board, open the Bingo Caller set to animals.
Play with a card each. Make the animal's sound instead of saying its name and see if your child can find it.
