Ten Christmas dot-to-dot pages that grow from 10 dots to 50: a star, an ornament, a stocking, a stack of presents, a candy cane (counting back from 20 to 1), a Christmas tree, a sack of toys, a gingerbread man, a gingerbread house and Santa. The first dot has a ring round it. Students join the dots in order with a pencil, then color the finished picture. The answer keys show each finished line in blue.
Use the pages for counting practice at a center, for early finishers or before a holiday party. Start with fewer dots for children still learning their numbers, and say the numbers aloud together on the first page. On the candy cane, count back together first: 20, 19, 18 ...
Say each number aloud as your child finds it. If a number is hard to find, look at the numbers near the last dot: the next one is always close by.
