How to Use This Pack

Every space holds a fact. Students solve it, check the answer against the color rules (like "Color the facts with an answer greater than 40 black."), and color the space. Page 1 is addition, page 2 subtraction, page 3 multiplication, page 4 division, and page 5 mixes all four. The pictures: an apple, a butterfly, an ice cream cone, a mushroom, and a tree.

In the Classroom

Pick the pages that fit each student: 1st and 2nd graders can do pages 1 and 2, 3rd graders pages 3 to 5. Students can write small answers in the spaces before coloring. The answer keys shade each color in its own strength of blue.

At Home

Let your child solve a row, then color it, so the picture grows bit by bit. If a space looks wrong once the picture appears, solve that fact again together.

Tips for Success

  • Solve first, then color
  • "From 10 to 20" includes 10 and 20
  • Write the answer lightly in pencil if it helps
  • On the mixed page, read each sign carefully
