Four Christmas pictures to color by code. Every space holds a two-digit adding or subtracting problem within 100: students solve it, find the answer in the color key at the top, and color the space that color. Some colors have two answers, and white parts have no problem and stay white. Pages 1 and 2 add (a fireplace hung with stockings, then a reindeer), pages 3 and 4 subtract (a Christmas sweater, then Santa's face and a sprig of holly).
Students can solve on scrap paper or in the margins, then color. A good review of two-digit adding and subtracting in the weeks before winter break.
Add the tens, then the ones. For subtracting, check by adding the answer back.
