How to Use This Pack

Each maze is a grid of numbers or facts. From Start, students move up, down, left, or right onto the next space that follows the rule, coloring as they go, until they reach Finish. The wrong turns are close calls, like facts that equal 9 or 11 when the rule is 10, so every space needs checking. Page 1: even numbers. Page 2: addition facts that equal 10. Page 3: subtraction facts that equal 6. Page 4: multiples of 4. Page 5: multiplication facts greater than 40. Page 6: division facts that equal 7.

In the Classroom

Great for early finishers and math centers. Choose pages by level: pages 1 to 3 for 1st and 2nd grade, pages 4 to 6 for 3rd grade. The path never runs alongside itself, so there is exactly one way through, and the answer keys shade it.

At Home

Have your child say each answer out loud before stepping onto a space. If they get stuck, go back to the last space that fit the rule and check the spaces around it.

Tips for Success

  • Check every space next to you before you move
  • Move up, down, left, or right, never on a diagonal
  • Color each space as you step on it
  • Stuck? Back up to the last space that fit the rule
