Five pages of matching numbers to their number words, each with two sets of five. The pages climb from 11 to 30 up to 80 to 100, so children meet the teens, then each set of tens in turn. Look-alikes share a set on purpose: fourteen and forty, thirteen and thirty, twenty-three and thirty-two. Children read each number, find its word and draw a line dot to dot. The answer keys draw the lines in blue.
Read the words in a set aloud together before matching, and listen for the difference between fourteen and forty. Ask children to say the number first, then look for the word that starts with that sound. Partners can check each other's lines with the answer key.
Read each word out loud with your child before drawing the line. Point out that the word for the tens comes first, then the ones, joined by a hyphen.
