Thirty bingo cards, one to a page, each with twenty-four of the 40 Dolch pre-primer sight words and a free space in the middle, no two cards alike. The teacher reads a word and children find it on their card. After the cards come calling cards for every word, to cut apart and draw one at a time, and a caller's checklist. Five in a row across, down or corner to corner wins.
Read each word, then hold up its calling card so children can check the letters. Words that look alike, such as the, then and she, are the ones to slow down for. To call from the board, open the Bingo Caller set to pre-primer sight words, which picks the words at random and keeps a board of every call.
Play with a card each. Ask your child to read each word aloud as they mark it, and to spell it back to you.
