Thirteen pages, one for each letter from N to Z, with everything about that letter on one sheet. At the top is a big bubble capital and small letter with numbered start dots and arrows, beside a picture that starts with the letter: a nest for N, an octopus for O, a pig for P. Below, children trace and write both letters on handwriting lines, trace the picture's word, circle every capital and small letter in a row of look-alikes, and write the letter to finish the word. X is the one letter heard at the end of its word, box. The answer keys circle the letters and write in the missing one.
Use one page a day as the letter of the day. Say the picture's word slowly and stretch its first sound, then have children say it with you before they trace the big letters. For X, stretch the end of box instead: x sounds like ks. Read the word together before children trace it.
Say the picture's word together and listen for its first sound. Then look around the house for other things that start with the same sound, and say each one slowly.
One page for each letter from N to Z that puts the capital and the small letter beside a picture that starts with it. Children trace and write both letters, trace the picture's word, find the letter among look-alikes and write it to finish the word.
