Two pages that go over the whole unit on the multiplication and division facts, to do together the day before the test. Its 12 questions are the same kinds as the test's, in the same order, with other numbers. Questions 11 and 12 (facts with 11 and 12) are for the states that teach them, as on the test. There is no Score line: it is practice, not a grade. The pre-check and the unit test are packs of their own.
Do the review together the day before the test, going over each strategy aloud. Work a question, then let students try the next one on their own, and stop on any that trip up more than a few. Questions 9 and 10 are eight facts each, a quick look at which facts still need practice. Leave out questions 11 and 12 if your class does not learn facts with 11 and 12. The keys name each question's lesson, so a question the class misses points to the lesson to go back to.
Use the review as practice before a test at school. When your child gets stuck on a fact, ask which fact they know that is close to it: the 2s for the 4s, the 5s for the 6s, the 10s for the 9s.
