Two pages that go over the whole unit on the area and perimeter of polygons, to do together the day before the test. Its 12 questions take the lessons in the test's order, with other numbers: its shape of rectangles is missing an upright side, its triangle on the grid has its square corner on the right, its story is a triangle and its curved shape a half circle. There is no Score line: it is practice, not a grade. The pre-check and the unit test are packs of their own.
Do the review together the day before the test. Work a question, then let students try the next one on their own, and stop on any that trip up more than a few. Every lesson in this unit is one some states teach in 5th grade: skip the questions for lessons your class does not learn. The keys name each question's lesson, so a question the class misses points to the lesson to go back to.
Use the review as practice before a test at school. Ask your child to explain why the area of a right triangle is half of the rectangle around it.

A review of the unit on the area and perimeter of polygons, to go over together the day before the test. Students find area and perimeter with fraction and decimal sides, measure shapes made of rectangles, find the area of triangles, parallelograms and trapezoids, and estimate perimeters.
