The unit test on solid figures and volume. Pages 1 and 2 are Form A. Pages 3 and 4 are Form B: the same questions in the same order with different numbers, for a retake, a make-up or a second seating. Each form has 12 questions, one point each, and a Score line on its first page. Questions 1 to 8 are the Common Core part of the unit; questions 9 to 12 (faces, edges and vertices, nets, a missing edge and a box with the same volume, and choosing perimeter, area or volume) are for the states that teach them in 5th grade. The pre-check and the unit review are packs of their own.
Give Form A the day after the unit review. Students need scrap paper for the products of three numbers. Several questions have parts (three blanks for a clear box, three counts for a solid, a name and a circling for the nets, a missing edge and a second box, a measure to circle and an answer to write): give the point when every part is right. Questions 9 to 12 are taught in 5th grade in some states only: give the ones your class learns and score out of what you give. Where the key says "One way", other answers are right too. No question asks a problem from the unit's exit tickets or from the practice sheets the lessons use. The answer keys name each question's skill, so a missed question points to the lesson to reteach.
Use Form B as a check after the unit. Find a box at home, measure its length, width and height, and ask your child how many inch cubes would fill it.

The unit test on solid figures and volume in two forms, from unit cubes to the volume formulas. Students count cubes in cubic units, multiply the bottom layer by the layers, use V = l × w × h and V = B × h, add the volumes of two prisms, and solve volume stories.
