Eight dot-to-dot pages with 26 dots each, lettered in place of numbered. On the first four, a fish, a bus, a house and a jar, children join the dots from A to Z; on the last four, a pig, a sock, a lemon and a volcano, from a to z. The first dot has a ring round it, the line from Z back to A is already drawn, and the lines inside each picture are printed, so the finished page is ready to color. The answer keys draw the whole line in blue.
Sing or say the alphabet together before children start, then let them join the dots while they say each letter under their breath. Pair the capital pages with the small-letter pages for children who know the capitals but still mix up b and d or p and q. Keep a copy in the writing center for early finishers.
Say the alphabet together as your child joins the dots, pointing to each letter. When the picture is done, ask what it is and what letter its name starts with.
Connect-the-dots pictures lettered in place of numbered: a fish, a bus, a house and a jar from A to Z, then a pig, a sock, a lemon and a volcano from a to z. Children say the alphabet in order as they join the dots, then color the finished picture.
