Ten pages, one for each number from 11 to 20, with everything about that number on one sheet. At the top is a big bubble number with numbered start dots and arrows, beside a box with that many animals in rows of five, so two full rows make ten. Below, children trace and write the number on handwriting lines, then trace its word from an example. At the bottom they color that many boxes of two ten frames, a full ten and some more, and write the number to finish the sentence. The answer keys write the number in the sentence and color the ten frames.
Count the first two rows of animals together to make ten, then count on: "10, 11, 12, 13." Ask how the first ten frame shows the same ten. Trace the big number in the air, saying "a 1 for the ten, then a 3." Read the word out loud as children trace it.
Count out the number with small things, such as crackers or blocks, making a group of ten first. Ask your child how many more than ten there are, and read the number word together.
