Five sheets of graph paper, each with a different square size, a Name and Date line at the top and no title, so the grid fills the page. Page 1 has 1 inch squares, big enough for young students to color and count. Page 2 has 1/2 inch squares and page 3 1/4 inch squares, both with a darker line every inch. Page 4 has 1 centimeter squares with a darker line every 5 centimeters, and page 5 has 5 millimeter squares with a darker line every centimeter. The squares are drawn at their true size: choose Actual size or 100% in the print settings, not Fit to page.
Hand out the 1 inch or 1/2 inch paper for area and arrays: students shade a 3 by 5 rectangle and count the squares. Turn the 1 centimeter paper sideways for multi-digit addition and multiplication so every digit sits in its own column. The 1/4 inch and 5 millimeter pages suit bar graphs and line graphs in grades 3 to 5.
Draw a floor plan of a bedroom on the 1/2 inch paper, one square for each foot, or design a pixel picture by coloring squares.

Five pages of printable graph paper at true size: 1 inch squares, 1/2 inch squares and 1/4 inch squares with a darker line every inch, 1 centimeter squares with a darker line every 5 centimeters, and 5 millimeter squares with a darker line every centimeter. Use it for area and arrays, bar graphs, lining up digits in long problems, and drawing shapes. Print at 100% so the squares measure true.
