How to Use This Pack

Each page hides a Halloween picture in a hundreds chart. Students read the color lists at the top, like "Color orange: 23 to 28", find those numbers in the chart, and color the squares. When every list is done, a jack-o'-lantern, bat, black cat, or ghost appears.

In the Classroom

A calm, focused activity for the days around Halloween. Model the first list on the board: find the first number, then count on square by square to the last one. The answer keys show the finished picture in shades of blue, one shade per color.

At Home

Have crayons ready in each color named on the page. Ask your child to say each number as they color it. If they get stuck, point to the start of the row and count on together.

Tips for Success

• Color one list at a time, starting with the first color
• "23 to 28" means color 23, 28, and every number in between
• Check off each part of the list as it is colored
• The ghost page colors the sky, so the ghost stays white
